Love and loss are a few of the ingredients woven into the artwork of painter Jacqueline Farnese. Born in New Jersey where she began painting as a child, Jaqueline’s distinct style as a contemporary figurative painter blends her appreciation for biology with her penchant for self-reflection and exploration.

Jacqueline began selling artwork and commissions by the age of 18, later simultaneously earning a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and a BA in Visual Arts, respectively. After graduation, Jacqueline moved to New York City, where she honed her craft, forging her characteristic approach of working with multiple mediums, from watercolor to oil and mixed media. Drawing on her training in figure drawing and study of human anatomy, Jacqueline paints the female figure using a blend of models and self-reference photos. Working with both exhibitions and commissions, Jacqueline has developed a versatile but distinct style, whether working in graphic design, illustration, or on murals.

Joining the exactitude of figurative painting with elements of expressionism, Jacqueline blends her personal experiences of loss and struggle with the vulnerability and visual beauty of the female figure.

Jacqueline Farnese lives and works between New Jersey and San Jose del Cabo, Mexico.
